Client Initial Requirement
The client wanted complete maintenance of the existing system, creating repositories and implementing code versioning for easy upgrades. They wanted to integrate Sada using Payfort payment gateway and custom tables for shipping charges. The app should have auto currency conversion based on the location of visitor, multi-lingual (English and Arabic) support and be more SEO friendly.
Challenges and Solutions
The main challenges were to create customised shipping rates based on various criteria like destination, total order weight and order value. Implementing SADAD with instalment option using PayFort payment gateway and auto currency switching based on the location was also a challenge. Fixes for unexpected 404 errors while deleting product categories were required as it used to impact SEO activities badly.
2Base came up with a perfect eCommerce solution that solved these issues and worked fine.
What 2Base has done
The team at 2Base Technologies introduced a BitBucket repository for code versioning. The team also produced custom extensions for custom shipping requirements and auto currency switching. Language pack was installed and a new RTL theme for Arabic was developed.
